Stories of family, memory, and the generations that shape our lives.

Author of stories exploring family, resilience, and the experiences that shape our lives across generations
For more than forty years, Beverley Clarkson served as a teacher, school administrator, and director of schools. Since retirement, she has devoted herself to a lifelong passion for writing—sharing stories drawn from personal history, family memory, and the emotional journeys that connect one generation to the next.
Her books explore themes of migration, identity, childhood experience, community responsibility, and the enduring influence of mothers and daughters across time. Through memoir, reflective storytelling, and socially aware fiction, Clarkson invites readers to consider how family stories shape who we become.
Her family-centered trilogy—Rightfully Hers, It’s Of No Consequence, and Hold On Kids—traces the lives of three generations of women whose experiences span Jamaica and the United States, revealing how resilience, hardship, and love echo across generations.
Clarkson lives in California with her husband, Clarence. Together they share a large and growing family that continues to inspire her writing.
